Welcome to the ultimate and comprehensive PC Guide in 2017. These guide will be in a series form as will go through each part or aspect of PC one after the other. This guide is meant for both noob(novice) and enthusiast as will go in-dept into all aspect of PC. We also going to go into PC Building Guide and PC Buying Guide.

What A Personal Computer(PC)

A personal computer (PC) is a multi-purpose electronic computer whose size, capabilities, and price make it feasible for individual use. PCs are intended to be operated directly by an end-user, rather than by a computer expert or technician.(Wikipedia)

PC Guide in 2017: Basics

Well almost of you folks knows the basic part of a computer either a Desktop or a Laptop. So will go into the basics component of PC.

 Central processing unit(CPU) or Processor

PC guide: (CPU)

The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the primary component of a computer system that is commonly referred to as the “brains” of a computer. The CPU is also known as the processor or microprocessor. It is responsible for executing a sequence of stored instructions called a program. Intel and AMD are the two most popular CPU manufacturers. E.g Intel Core i3, i5 and i7, AMD Ryzen.

Video Card(GPU)

PC guide: GPUA video card (also called a display card, graphics card, display adapter or graphics adapter) is an expansion card that allows the computer to send graphical information to a video display such as a computer monitor, TV, or projector.  NVIDIA Corporation and AMD are the two most popular CPU manufacturers. E.g GTX 1080 and Radeon RX 480.

Power Supply Unit(PSU)

PC guide: PSUA power supply unit (PSU) converts mains AC to low-voltage regulated DC power for the internal components of a computer. Modern personal computers universally use switched-mode power supplies. -It convert the power provided from the outlet into usable power for the computer.

 

Random Access Memory(RAM)

PC guide: RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the physical hardware inside a computer that temporarily stores data e.g the operating system (OS), application programs and data in current use are kept so they can be quickly reached by the device’s processor, serving as the computer’s working memory. Some popular manufacturers of RAM include Kingston, PNY, Crucial Technology, and Corsair.

 

Storage (Hard disk or SSD)

PC guide: HDDvsSSDA hard disk drive (HDD), hard disk, hard drive or fixed disk is a data storage device that uses magnetic storage to store and retrieve digital information using one or more rigid rapidly rotating disks (platters) coated with magnetic material.(Wikipedia).

A solid-state drive(SSD) is a solid-state storage device that uses microchips to store data persistently, there are no moving parts to an SSD. General SSD are faster than HDD Popular Hard Disk Drive Manufacturers are Seagate, Western Digital, and Hitachi.

 

Motherboard

PC guide: Motherboardmotherboard is a sheet of plastic that It holds and allows communication between many of the crucial electronic components of a system, such as the central processing unit (CPU) and memory, and provides connectors for other peripherals. Popular Hard Disk Drive Manufacturers AsusMSI and Intel

 

Monitor

PC guide: MonitorA Monitor is the piece of computer hardware that displays the video and graphics information generated by the computer through the video card. Display device in modern monitors is typically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) or a flat panel LED display. Popular Monitor Manufacturers are Acer, Samsung, LG Electronics, and Sony.

Keyboard

PC guide: keyboardA keyboard is the piece of computer hardware used to input text, characters, and other commands into a computer or similar device. Popular Monitor Manufacturers are Microsoft and Logitech.

 

Mouse

PC guide: mouseA mouse, is an input device sometimes called a pointer, is a hand-operated device used to manipulate objects on a computer screen. Popular Mouse Manufacturers are Razer and Logitech.
